From the Designer...

I have lived in Southern California my entire life. Most of it along the coast where I was constantly inspired by the beauty of nature, the warmth of the sun, and the relaxed atmosphere from being surrounded by water.  This “beach culture,” created an environment for me and my three children that was life changing. 

It’s a fact that most women feel vulnerable in swimwear. I have as well.  I’ve watched my body go through so many changes including a cardiac condition from adolescence that has left parts of my body looking like a road map. And, let’s not forget motherhood. I’ve come to terms with my curves, edges, and scars. I am a soft and feminine woman who shines my own light - a light filled with gratitude and acceptance.

As women, we need to embrace our femininity, accept our bodies as who we are – Women, unique in expression and physique.  Realizing that most us feel insecure in a bathing suit, I thought that maybe there might be a way to give a gentle reminder to all of us; we are beautiful and we are enough in who we are.

So, I took a leap of faith and created a swimwear brand called Swimspiration®.

I fell in love with the idea of placing gems on the end of the bikini strings or ties of my swimsuits after gaining an understanding of gems and their life affirming energy obtained from Mother Earth. The idea was to create a reminder that each time a gem sparkles and shines, a woman would get an intuitive nudge and remember that she too is unique; a special life-giving beautiful human being.
